If you’re starving for meaningless football news, the folks at ESPN have just the story for you. Ron Jaworski recently ranked the NFL’s quarterbacks and he had some high praise for Ravens QB Joe Flacco.

Jaws placed Flacco ahead of Tony Romo, Matt Ryan, Michael Vick, Matt Schaub, Matthew Stafford and Cam Newton at number nine.

On Tuesday’s SportsCenter, Jaworski exclaimed to the world that Flacco’s strongest attribute was his arm strength. “I get so tired of hearing how arm strength is overrated,” he said. “It’s far more important than people think. He has the strongest arm in the NFL.”

ESPN’s Jamison Hensley points out that Flacco didn’t finish in the top ten in completion rate (26th), passing yards (12th), touchdowns (13th) or quarterback rating (18th) last season.

But Jaws is still confident in Flacco’s ability “to pull the trigger” and “attack all areas of the field at any point in the game.”
