The Ravens 2010 number one draft pick Sergio Kindle was arrested and charged Sunday morning for driving drunk. According to the Baltimore Sun, Kindle was pulled over in Howard County early Sunday morning.

According to court records and police, Kindle was pulled over at 4:09 a.m. after an officer observed his vehicle weaving as he drove northbound on Route 1 near Route 32 in Savage.

The former University of Texas star, who was driving a vehicle with Texas plates, was ticketed for speeding, driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to obey traffic control devices.

Kindle was in the news this past week, with quotes about trying to get out on the field for the Ravens. His most recent “set back” continues to raise red flags for the draftee who fractured his skull falling down two flights of stairs just days before training camp began.

I continue to stand by my opinion, that the Ravens will never see Kindle take the field.

UPDATE: Jamison Hensley of The Baltimore Sun tweeted a response from Ravens spokesperson Kevin Byrne on Kindle. “We’ve become aware of the situation and we will address this with Sergio as soon as we can.”
