The Shuckers picked up their fifth victory of the season on Saturday with a 110-107 victory over the Thunder.

The Bay Area Shuckers (5-1) returned to the win column with a 110-107 victory over the South Jersey Thunder (4-3). The Shuckers opened the 2013-2014 season with a four game win streak, but fell last weekend to the NoVa Hawks 138-119. Terry Hosley and Gus Chase led the Shuckers in scoring with 29 points followed by Rocky Coleman with 13 and Evan Martin with 12.

Chase also topped the Shuckers with seven rebounds, while Hosley and Martin led the way with four assists each. A 55-foot buzzer beater by Rocky Coleman at the end of the first half proved to be the difference in the game.

For his efforts Hosley was named the Coffee News Player of the Game.

The Shuckers are off next weekend and then return to action on January 4th at 7:00 PM when they travel to the Rockville Victors (5-0) in a battle for first place in the Patriot Division.
