For the first of two games in the inaugural Under Armour I-95 Elite Showcase, local powerhouse St. Frances takes the floor against North Carolina juggernaut Quality Education Academy.

I’m courtside at Towson University, and I’ll be providing live stats and score updates throughout the game. Follow me on Twitter for more frequent score updates.

7:36 PM- It’s final. St. Frances wins, 65-44. Big upset, and a big win for a team that has lost to Mount St. Joe’s and John Carroll in the past week. Patterson takes the floor next.

7:31 PM-SFA, 63-42, 4th, 1:10. Both coaches are getting some bench players in. This one is over. Big-time upset.

7:22 PM-SFA, 59-40, 4th, 4:37. This one looks like it might be in the books. QEA is scoring a bit, but St. Frances is answering immediately. DaQuan Cook is running the show, but Maurice White is stealing it. White has been scoring with ease ever since the second quarter.

7:17 PM-SFA, 51-34, End of 3rd. Honestly, I’m somewhat shocked that St. Frances has a 17-point lead going into the fourth. QEA entered as the top team in North Carolina, but SFA has really taken in to them in the last two quarters. The Panthers are getting quality shots, and cleaning up the boards.

7:08 PM-SFA, 38-32, 3rd, 4:26. St. Frances has not slowed down after the halftime break. Tevon Saddler scored two impressive buckets, and Maurice White hit a three to cap off a mini-run for the Panthers.

7:00 PM-SFA, 28-27, Halftime. After a long, 20-minute halftime period, we’re back for some second half action. St. Frances needs to keep pressing the ball hard, and can not get lazy in the halfcourt sets. If they can keep playing at the level they were to close the first half, they could pull off a very nice upset here.

6:43 PM-SFA, 28-27, Halftime. St. Frances has really come back with a vengeance, and their press has been causing turnovers nearly every other possession. Quality Education seems to be getting a bit nervous; they probably didn’t expect this much of a fight from the Panthers.

6:33 PM-QEA, 27-24, 2nd, 3:30. QEA is getting a bit more energetic, and also more sloppy. They’re committing turnovers, and sending St. Frances to the line. DaQuan Cook is leading SFA well, and the bench is really getting into it. Even the otherwise silent crowd is getting excited.

6:25 PM-QEA, 23-13, 2nd, 6:35. Josh Forney is in foul trouble, and Bolden is asserting himself for Quality Education. St. Frances is having some real trouble breaking the press.

6:20 PM-QEA, 21-13. End of 1st. Quality Education has been shooting well from beyond the arc, going on a 19-8 run to close the first quarter. They move the ball well, and St. Frances is having trouble keeping up with the quick passing and closing down shooters.

6:16 PM- QEA, 11-10. 1st, 1:50. After a good start for St. Frances, QEA stormed back with two three-pointers. Bolden hasn’t seen a lot of the ball yet for QEA, which is a bit surprising now that Josh Forney is experiencing foul trouble.

6:09 PM- SFA leads 5-2, 1st, 4:50. It’s been a slow start, but solid play on each side. The refs are letting the game flow, it looks to be a physical one.

5:57 PM- Quality Education is huge. St. Frances will have their hands full dealing with the QEA frontcourt, anchored by 6’11” Georgetown commit Brendan Bolden.
