Though the referees didn’t see Terrell Suggs punch Jerome Simpson, the NFL did. According to Ryan Mink of BaltimoreRavens.com, Suggs was fined $15,000 for the incident, but he owned up to it after the game.
Suggs conceded that he hit Simpson after the Ravens made a key stop during the fourth quarter. Suggs’ helmet was ripped off on the play by Bengals left tackle Andrew Whitworth, but Suggs targeted the wide receiver.
The Pro Bowl pass-rusher wasn’t penalized for the hit.
“I could have cost my team,” Suggs said after the game. “I’ve got to get better in that area. Luckily, I got away with one. Usually, I don’t get away with anything. They were too busy looking for the spot of the ball.”
Suggs was provoked. Saw the play and he got his helmet ripped off, not be Simpson, but another Bengal. It's always the second guy that gets caught.
Yeah, I didn't see it on TV but watch it unfold at the stadium. Suggs was in a choke hold. Just glad that a flag wasn't thrown.
