“Coach Turgeon is just a great guy, I really enjoy talking to him. He just seems like a very down to earth person, and yet he’s proven himself to be an excellent coach. He knows what it takes to get players to the next level,” said Henderson.
Henderson is a 6’5, 175 pound shooting guard from Raleigh’s Neuse Christian Academy and Garner Roads AAU. He has gotten offers from Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Georgia, LaSalle, Richmond, George Mason, Charlotte, and Boston College. He wants to get up to see the Maryland campus and get a tour of the facility. He isn’t sure if he will visit Virginia Tech or Georgia, as they got into the picture more recently.
“I’m real comfortable with the schools I have now, and am not looking to add new ones. The plan is to take my visits and sign in November. It could get a little crazy if I decide to wait until April.”
With a strong support system in his parents, his coaches in AAU, and a great mentor in NBA power forward David West, he will make a wise choice and hopefully it is for the Red and Black attack in College Park.
