While Orioles fans continue to wait for the inevitable implosion and Red Sox fans continue to wait for the inevitable explosion, ESPN Stats & Info tweets some interesting information for both parties.

Did you know that the last time the Red Sox were at least three games under .500 this late into the season was 1997?  The Sox finished 78-84 that season.

Last night, Boston fell 4-1 in Miami and dropped their fourth straight game after being swept at home by the Nationals.  Thanks, beltways friends.

Boston sits at the bottom of baseball’s toughest division with their 29-32 record.

Maybe, just maybe, the implosion and explosions just won’t occur.

Mind blown.
