The race in the AL East is a tight one. Don’t act surprised, it’s the best division in baseball.
After tying their season best five game winning streak with a sweep of the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Orioles head to Atlanta for a three-game set against the Braves. Baltimore currently finds themselves half a game back of the AL East leading Yankees who are 9-1 in their last ten games.
But fear not Orioles fans, for the Yankees are heading into our nation’s capital to face the red hot Washington Nationals who have won six straight games against the Blue Jays and Red Sox.
It seems that the Nats are doing all they can to help Baltimore stay atop the AL East, and they have a another three games to do some damage this weekend.
And if you ask me if I wouldn’t root for D.C. for a chance to climb over the Yankees for first place in the East I’ll have one simple response; “that’s a clown question, bro.“
