The speculation has already begun.
One of Baltimore‘s Big Three could be on his way to Charm City after a terrible three inning, five run outing by Rich Hill.
Roch Kubatko is wondering, Steve Melewski is asking, and Jeff Zrebiec is pondering the same question — Could the Orioles bring up Chris Tillman to fill Hill’s spot in the rotation next week?
In his post game interview with Gary Thorne, Dave Trembley ducked a question about whether Hill pitched his way out of the location last night.
Which leads me to believe that someone is on their way. Tillman is scheduled to pitched at Norfolk on Thursday, so if the O’s do start him for just a few innings I think we’ll see him in Baltimore in place of Hill.
Hill’s ERA jumped to 7.65 while Tillman has a 8-5 record with a 2.42 ERA and 95 strike outs at Norfolk, it’s time.
