Fan favorite tight end Todd Heap will be inducted into the Baltimore Ravens Ring of Honor this season according to tweets by people that cover that team.
Heap was drafted in 2001, the season after Baltimore won Super Bowl XXXV. Fans that followed the teaam back then remember watching his rookie training camp closely on Hard Knocks. He’s a two-time Pro Bowler with 499 career receptions, 5,869 yards and 42 touchdowns.
The Ravens released Heap on July 25, 2011 after 10 seasons. He spent his final two with the Arizona Cardinals.
Heap will join former Ravens greats like Earnest Byner — oh, wait. For whatever reason, the team continues to ignore Brian Billick, who coached this franchise to their first Super Bowl Championship. What a freaking joke.
I agree Brian is past due for the Ring!
Maybe Brian Billick does his jewelry shopping at Kay or Zales and Smyth is pissed at him?
