There’s an awesome viral movement that’s sweeping the interwebs. The #IceBucketChallenge.
By now, you’ve probably seen some video of GIF of someone having freezing cold water dumped over the head. Not only are these videos hilarious, but they’re being posted for a great cause. These folks have been tasked with the Ice Bucket Challenge and should they decline, they are asked to make a donation to an ALS charity of their choosing.
So far, this viral campaign has raised $168,000 according to ALC Association’s national president, Barbara Newhouse.
Orioles starter pitcher Bud Norris accepted the challenge, then asked Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith to do the same.
Smith accepted. Then passed on the challenge to his teammates Justin Tucker and Jacoby Jones as well as Orioles centerfielder Adam Jones.
