Sophomore guard Four McGlynn hit a half court shot at the buzzer to give your Towson Tigers Men’s Basketball squad a 63-60 win in the first round of the CIT Tournament. The Tigers came back from 13 down at half at USC Upstate (who beat Virginia Tech this year) to survive and advance to Friday night’s next match up at East Tennessee St.

The Tigers were again led by senior forward Jerrelle Benimon who had 20 pts, 9 boards, 3 assists and even chipped in 3 steals. The other seniors, Marcus Damas and Mike Burwell, joined Benimon in double figures as both chipped in with 11 points each.
But it was McGlynn’s heave at the buzzer that has given the Tigers their first men’s basketball postseason win EVER as they lost to Oklahoma and Ohio St in the 1990,19991 NCAA Tournament respectively. Additionally, this great win now provides Coach Pat Skerry with some added time to coach a group of guys he truly enjoys.
