A report from JJ Cooper of AOL Fanhouse found that Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco led the league in sacks of 3+ seconds, making him the the “king of holding the ball too long in 2010.”

Roethlisberger may be known for extending plays (and racking up high sack totals), but Baltimore’s Joe Flacco was actually the king of holding the ball too long in 2010. In logging the time of each and every sack in the NFL in 2010, Flacco’s 25 sacks of 3.1 seconds or more were five more than anyone else in the league.

While before the Ravens could point the blame at Baltimore’s wide receivers for not getting open downfield, that is no longer the case with their star studded receiving corps.

How do you think Flacco improves upon his sack numbers in 2012
