Ubaldo Jimenez‘s first season in Baltimore didn’t quite go as planned, but don’t worry you guys, we’ve got three more to go. In 2014, Jimenez stepped in a pot hole, wasn’t on the ALCS roster and posted a hefty 4.81 ERA in 125.1 innings pitched.

There’s only one place to go in 2015. Up!

And good news, so far, the early reports from Sarasota indicate that Jimenez is primed for a breakout season. Even Tommy Hunter was amped about Ubi’s bullpen season on Sunday.

It’s great to hear that Jimenez is “pounding the strike zone”, even if it is just in a bullpen session. He seemed to hit everything but the strike zone last season, recording the highest walk rate of his career (5.5 BB/9) and tying his career low strikeout to walk ration (1.51).
