Nice job getting the interview.
Should've mentioned that in my rant against Koji!
For a guy whose thrown a little over 66 innings in the majors, he seems a bit condescending in this interview. Is that just my impression? I'm sure a lot gets lost in the translation, but particularly his reaction to your Bowie question was telling. I mean we all know Bowie isn't the Big Apple or anything, but usually these guys will give the cliche, textbook answers we've come to expect.
This guy has been a complete waste of 10 million bucks.
He won't test his hamstring is the humidity is too high.
Go away Koji.
Thanks Mark.
Gotta tell you I think there's a bit of smugness. Koji said he didn't have time to talk to the other Japanese pitcher in Bowie… he was there for three days!
Oh, there's no doubt Koji is an arrogant prick.
No, no, GM Andy assured me Koji is valuable no matter if / what he produces because he has "opened up the pipeline to Japan", so its all good. Perhaps surprisingly, Ol' Bruz was against the idea of spending millions and millions on a mid-30's reliever coming to the AL East as a Starter before 2009…
