What does a future Hall of Famer tell his team after a devastating loss in the AFC Championship?
This.
Following the Ravens 23-20 loss to the Patriots, Ray Lewis encouraged his team to hold their heads high and told them to work to get even further next year.
I’m not sure if Ray’s speech fires me up or makes me depressed.
How ’bout a transcription for the deaf? Would love to hear what he said.
Here is part of it…..

National publication just last week described our hero as an “unmarried father of six” ( http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/nfl/ravens/story/2012-01-11/ray-lewis-cover-story/52528362/1 ), yet he continues to be lauded for his “Leadership”…Interesting…I’m just sayin’…
Ray has lost a bit on the field but still is a fine motivator,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but , if he looses any more on the field his affect will be diminished too much……….
What exactly was he trying to say? I’m often confused after I hear Ray speak.
I’m afraid Ray Lewis is just happy to be there at this stage of his career , just happy to get another years pay checks , but this town wants more than this. I don’t see it happening with Ray , Harbaugh and Cameron calling the shots. Where is the great desire to win a super bowl , they appear to be happy just being friends and getting along , pitiful from a once great player.
I believe mystery man is right on……….
Lets be honest here : Ray Lewis is now officially over the hill. The Ravens need to get younger and faster at linebacker , until they do they are just pretenders.
