During Towson’s opening football game last night against Kent State, the Tigers’ Derrick Jospeh is waving off his teammates from fielding the punt, but it takes a weird hop and hits him. Kent State’s Andre Parker pounces on the ball, but of course you can’t advance a muffed punt. And, while technically not illegal, it’s probably not a great idea to advance it 58 yards in the wrong direction. My only question is why did Towson even bother tackling him outside of the wrong endzone? Why not go for the fake safety, especially when you’re down three scores?
