History was made at the Rogers Centre on Thursday afternoon as the Orioles took the finale from the Blue Jays in a 4-3 win. No, I’m not talking about the Birds breaking their 16 game losing streak in Canada, I’m referring to Vladimir Guerrero’s 2,500th career hit.

Vladdy came in to the game needing two to get to 2,500 and he got three. The 2,500th was an RBI double that gave Baltimore a 2-0 lead in the 6th inning.

After the game manager Buck Showalter told the media not to rule out 3,000 for Guerrero and that it’s a pleasure watching a future Hall of Famer play everyday.
