Some cheered. Some booed. Others Cruuuuuuzed.
But everyone watched in awe as Nelson Cruz crushed his 21st home run of the season in his return to Texas on Tuesday night. The Baltimore Orioles slugger went deep to extend his league-leading home run total in the top of the eighth and helped add a nice, fluffy three-run cushion to the O’s lead over the Rangers.
If you watch the video of Cruz’s dinger (and you should because the ball is still coming down right now and Gary Thorne’s call is fantastic), you’ll notice Cruz taking his time getting around the bases. Tater Trot Tracker clocked his time around the bases at 30 seconds.
Nelson Cruz managed a 30sec trot on a ball he pulled deep into the left field bleachers. It wasn't a showboat trot, but he def took his time

Show boating? Nope.
Buck said he almost removed Cruz from game. Leg was cramping. That's why Cruz was slow rounding bases on HR

Here’s my favorite stat right now:
Nelson Cruz is on pace for 61 home runs and 159 RBI.

LMAO! Cruz had a bad hammy. That sounds like a line Robot Harbaugh would toss out to cover one of his delinquent football players.
