I guess we won’t have to worry abut any fans calling into the talk shows to discuss the Ravens having a perfect season this week, huh?

That’s a few less stupid calls this week.

Yesterday, I gave you my immediate, anger filled, quick hits on the game. Today, I’m here to calm you down. I mean, I know what it’s like to be a passionate fan.

So you probably watched the Ravens drop a 27-21 heartbreaker to the Patriots and you’re wondering if you should be concerned with this team. Now,the questions start setting in.

Are the Ravens for real?
Is this offense the real the deal?
Can the secondary stop good QB/WR combos?
Can the Ravens defeat a tough opponent?
How will they respond to this loss?

It’s stressful isn’t it? I don’t claim to have all the answers to these questions, but I’m optimistic.

Joe Flacco passed for 264 yards with two touchdowns, thats six more yards and a touchdown more than Tom Brady. Ray Rice had 103 yards and quite possibly the best game of his young career. Fred Taylor had just 25. Our leading wide receiver, Derrick Mason, had 7 receptions and 88 yards with a TD while New England’s, Benjamin Watson, had just 2 catches for 51 yards.

On defense, Baltimore sacked Brady three times and forced one fumble for a touchdown. New England had two sacks and one forced fumble.

If you dive into the stats it will drive you nuts. The only thing column Baltimore didn’t win in was the score. It was the intangibles that caused that, so don’t let it drive you crazy this week.
