Rain, rain go away.
It poured on Wednesday in Baltimore in game one against the Twins. 3 hours and 46 minutes of rain delays and just an hour and 27 minutes of play. But it was enough for the O’s who secured there 11th win of the year.
Nick Markakis got things started early with a 2 run homerun to right that scored Adam Jones. It was Kake’s 5th homer of the season.
Luke Scott hit an 2 out RBI single in the first that drove in Aubrey Huff from third. The O’s went up 3-0 before the monsoon started.
Scott later hit a solo homer in the 4th.
Mark Hendrickson was on the hill for the O’s and pitched three solid innings before being stopped by another rain delay. Hendrickson gave up only 1 hit, but Brian Bass got the win in relief after his 3 1/3 innings worth of work.
Despite the game being just slightly over 5 innings the O’s got the win. 4-1.

Great post, makes me think.
If that's how the O's have to get a win…at least the bullpen didn't give it away!
Hah. So true. No chance for the bullpen to serve up this one! Go O's.
