Orioles SP Tommy Hunter has been plagued by a lack of run supportAs Eduardo Encina of The Baltimore Sun points out, the Orioles have scored 2 or fewer runs while Tommy Hunter is in the game in 10 of his last 15 starts.  Hunter hasn’t won a decision since July 18 against the Minnesota Twins.

Last night Hunter threw 5 2/3 innings, surrendered two runs on six hits, walked one and struck out three.  He earned his seventh loss of the season.

Of course there have been some bad outings along the way too, like when Hunter have up five earned runs in 1 2/3 innings on June 30 against the Indians or that 3 inning, 5 run outing against the Blue Jays.

In June, July and August however, Hunter has pitched six or more innings in 5 of his 7 starts.
