Is it just me or are the Mets a really bad team? Honestly, Baltimore played terribly last night and came away with the 6-4 win.

Koji Uehara was on the mound looking for his first victory in two months. He left with a 4-2 lead after 5 innings pitched, but didn’t get the win thanks to the handy work of Brian Bass and Mark Hendrickson.

Ok, I can’t be mad at Brian Bass, he’s been very consistent for the O’s. Bass gave up a rocket ship to Gary Sheffield in the 6th inning. Then Mark Hendrickson, everyone’s favorite NBA dropout/relief pitcher, walked Alex Cora with the bases loaded.

Matt Wieters walked into last night’s game with zeros in the RBI and Homerun columns. Not anymore. Wieters belted his first homerun to left center field (a section away from where I was sitting). Wieters homerun was hit left handed and was an opposite field shot that drove in Nolan Reimold. Hopefully I’ll be writing that a lot in the future.

David Wright had an 11 game hit streak going into the game. He went 0 for 5 last night.

Aubrey Huff hit the go ahead homerun in the 7th, a 2 run shot to the flag court in right field. It was Huff’s 9th homer of the year and gave the Birds a 6-4 edge. Huff finished 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs.

Nick Markakis was 4 for 4 with 2 runs scored.
