I check eBay and Craigslist when I wake up, again when I eat lunch, again when I walk the dog, and yet again when I am getting ready for bed. I’m one of those people. I search through online sales frequently, mostly in search of Orioles memorabilia for my collection.
Yesterday, in one of my Orioles themed Craigslist searches, I happened upon a gem, an ad that puts up for sale the 1967 Cadillac Coupe Deville once owned by former Orioles pitcher Milt Pappas.
Pappas, the three time all star known for giving up Roger Maris’ 59th home run in 1961, supposedly was the original owner of this car which the owner claims was passed down to him by way of his father’s friend. Included are multiple pieces of documentation that confirm that Pappas was the owner of the car and was the name on the original title.
1967 Cadillac Coupe Deville for sale. Original owner was Milt Pappas from the Baltimore Orioles, played in Baltimore from 1957-1965. We do have copies of original title and other copies of documentation which is signed by Mr. Pappas. The car has 83,600 miles on it however does need some work. Has been sitting for approx. 4-5yrs, car will turn over and try to start but wont keep running, we believe its a fuel issue such as fuel pump or sender, etc. My fathers friend gave my father the car and later passed away, my father and I do not have the time nor funds to refinish car but would love someone to enjoy it. Feel free to contact me for any questions.
If you are an O’s fan with a passion for automobiles, this $2,500 investment is worthy of your time.
I say me, Intimidator, spy, 9inchnails, and Avi all pitch in and get this ride. $2500? It’s a steal!
$500 each, I am in and I can take it to Dundalk and get laid in it. I wonder if Milt drove it to Cincy?
