The Orioles have been very clear that Matt Wieters will start this season at AAA Norfolk. Good move I think.
Bringing in a veteran like Gregg Zaun is a good idea. Roch Kubatko at MASNSports.com is reporting that Zaun is holding out for a 2 year deal, though obviously the Birds want to give him just one.
I think Zaun is the perfect fit for the O’s (again), and is the veteran that Wieters would need to transition into the big leagues.
