BACK AWAY FROM THE LEDGE.
The Orioles recent skid has been brutal. It’s been no fun to watch the starters, the bullpen or even the recently flat Baltimore lineup of late.
But things aren’t as bad as they seem, O’s fans.
The always insightful Mark Viviano points out that while the Orioles have lost 8 of their last 11 games, they have only dropped two games in the AL East standings during that time. The Yankees, who went 5-2 last week, only won 6 of their last 11 and the Rays matched the O’s struggles by going 3-8 during the same span.
Just remember, it’s never as good or as bad as it seems.
Boston is the team that the AL East should look out for though. They’ve won 10 of their last 13 games.
As much as we all hate to admit it, they’re starting to look pretty good.
The Birds have been lucky not to completely fall out of this thing. Seems like nothing is going right, pitching, defense, or the bats, but as you said, you’re never as good as you look when winning, or as bad as you look losing.
Are you kidding me,,,,,,,,,,they are six games out , soon to be ten and they look like they forgot how to win,,,,,,,,,,have you really looked at the compression in the division, it is over my friend unless they spend good money and give up a decent prospect for a quality pitcher to get then through the dog days of August,,,,,,,,,come on O’s , it’s been too long to give up now but that’s what it looks like you are doing,,,,,,,,you got close and still are but you show no signs of life , you are leaving the fans frustrated once again,,,,,,,,,,,
