Adam Jones gave teammate Wei-Yin Chen the ultimate Twitter compliment on Sunday night. “Oh yea Chen has Gorilla balls when he takes the mound,” @SimplyAJ10 tweeted, channeling the all-time great baseball flick Major League.
And Jones couldn’t be more right. After allowing five runs on five hits in the first inning on Sunday, Chen settled in, then maintained a 7-5 lead and eventually earned his 12th big league win for the Baltimore Orioles. Chen forced slugger Prince Fielder to ground into a double play with two on in the 2nd inning and retired the side in the 3rd and 5th.
Huge series win against a tough Tigers team. Oh yea Chen has Gorilla balls when he takes the mound.

Final line: 5 innings, 7 hits (5 in the first inning), 5 earned runs (all in the first inning), 2 walks, 4 strikeouts and most importantly a “W”.
Jones called it “gorilla balls,” I call it amazing confidence. Either way, Chen has been a huge part of the Orioles success in 2012.
If Jones starts talking about Joe Boo, we are in trouble. Come to think of it, the O’s season is starting to remind me of Major League…
hats for bats, ilike it!
