It’s a great day to be alive.  Not only because it’s a beautiful 75 degrees outside here in Baltimore, but because your Orioles are in sole possession of first place in the American League East.

I’m going to keep saying it as long as I can.

Monday night’s comeback win in Chicago has Adam Jones believing that this Orioles team is capable of more than teams he’s been on in the past.  “A couple years ago, if we were down 4-2 on the road, we were probably losing 4-2,” Jones said.

It’s a different team, we’re a different breed right now.”

I want to believe Jones and I’m happy to hear that he’s confident in the Orioles this season.  But, I watched the Indians and Pirates last season and even if the Orioles were somehow able to stay competitive in the East through the All-Star break, I won’t believe it until the 27th out is recorded on October 3 in Tampa.
