Jones tweeted the nickname to his 107K followers after the Orioles five run rally in the 9th inning in their 8-5 victory over the Boston Red Sox. Chris Davis’ fifth homer of the season cut Boston’s lead to 5-4, the O’s tied the game when pinch runner Alexi Casilla scored on a wild pitch from Joel Hanrahan and Machado added the exclamation point with a three run homer to give the Birds the lead.
