The list of Ravens undrafted rookies keeps growing and growing. I’ve gathered the names of the players, along with a little overview of each of the guys below. The undrafted rookies have reached agreements with Baltimore, but won’t become official members of the team until they sign their contracts in minicamp on May 7th.
Offense:
Curtis Steele – RB – Memphis
Steele average 6.3 yards per carry at Memphis, despite his small size (5′ 10″, 194 pounds). I’m not a big fan of small running backs in this league, I like bruisers and the Ravens already have two guys that don’t fit my mold for RBs, Steele makes three.
Rodelin Anthony – WR – UNLV
Anthony is a big target and red zone threat at 6′ 5″ and 230 pounds. He was limited to just four games last season due to injuries.
Defense:
John Fletcher – DE – Wyoming
Finally a pass rusher, the Ravens should be starving for a guy with Fletcher’s brand of play. He’s a big guy at 6′ 5″ and 270 pounds, but he recorded seven sacks at Wyoming last year.
Ashton Hall – S – Marshall
Hall played nickel cornerback at Marshall as well as safety his last two seasons. He’s 5′ 10″ and 196 pounds and can jump really high, 44 inches to be exact. Wait does that mean he can dunk?
Albert McClellan – OLB – Marshall
Apparently, Mclellan lacks strength despite his athletic build. Doesn’t seem like a Ravens type of linebacker in my mind.
Prince Miller – CB – Georgia
Hey look, a cornerback. Don’t get your hopes up, Miller only had one interception his entire college career. He will likely be a punt returner, where he had more success in college.
Mike McLaughlin – MLB – Boston College
McLaughlin has got to be the biggest undrafted name the Ravens agreed to terms with. He’s a vocal leader that was expected to go late in the draft. Can you say Bart Scott?
Special Teams:
Morgan Cox – Long Snapper – Tennessee
Cox was a long snapper for the South at the Senior Bowl and is a three year vet at Tennessee in the position. Some question his size at 248 pounds.
Obviously The Great Oz has something in mind when it comes to CBs. I know he can't go into next year counting on Foxworthy playing like he did in the tail end of last year when the Ravens played the NFL "B" teams. If I hear one more time how he and the other DBs picked it up in the second part of the year, I'll puke. The QBs they faced during their resurgence? Quinn, Stafford, Cutler, Frye, Dixon. I guess their numbers would improve facing those clowns.
Don't forget Big Ben and Tom Brady.
JP –
Sorry I didn't mention Big Ben…I was trying to point out the games the DBs helped to "win" during that stretch run.
Tom Brady – Yes, they took it to the Gimpy One.
Not to mention that Mattison rolled coverage over to Foxworth's side which covered up his play.
They were more comfortable letting Frank the Tank be on an island than Foxworth.
See Mark, but that's what I'm talking about. My fictious "Joe From Essex" thinks Foxworth "had a bad start, but caught on later in the year". The average fan doesn't look at things like who the opposition is or how the coverage changed. It drives me crazy and this is when I start taking it out on the Great Oz. I feel it's my job to bring these guys back to earth. Just like the "Guru", Harbs. Sure, it was time for a change, but I'm still not convinced that other than a new message, things are any better than they were before. Billick was criticized for poor clock management, poor in-game management, undisciplined teams, and the inability to beat quality opponents in the tail end of his career. Has any of that really changed? That's why I get annoyed when I hear Ozzie can do no wrong and Harbaugh is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Im with you on most things.
The draft thing just seemed to be a bit over the top for me.
We are on the same page with alot of things.
The thing is, I know you are smarter than most fans which is why you got me so fired up with the draft thing.
Don’t forget Big Ben and Tom Brady.
I just didn't want you to leave out the 2 best QB's the Ravens secondary played well against during their "resurgence." Clearly the corner play needs help, but they did play better as the season went on.
I feel like I have to take the big guys down…that's why I pick on Harbaugh (he reminds me of an old jackass boss I had), and Oz, and Rico Suave Biscotti. Granted, I give the O's a pass…just too easy and I try to defend the unpopular opinion.
