Baltimore Grand PrixSo far I only know the Baltimore Grand Prix as the event that everyone has been complaining about. Construction and road closures have became the excuses for the Orioles terrible attendance in their four game series against the first place White Sox and natives of Fells Point and Federal Hill continue to dread their daily commutes.

I thought bringing IndyCar racing to Baltimore was a cool idea last year and nearly 150,000 people agreed. The Baltimore Sun’s Peter Schmuck compares the Grand Prix to Preakness is his latest column. He points out that the new organizers of the event aren’t expecting as large of crowds this year.

With smaller attendance, last year’s financial issues and the overall inconvenience, I have to wonder if it’s really worth dealing with the headache of this event.

I’ll let you tell me.
