Say Hello To Baseball’s New RBI Leader: Chris Davis

Good morning world.

Say hello the Major League Baseball’s new leader in RBI, Orioles first baseman Chris Davis.

Chris Davis takes over MLB lead in RBI

With a 2-run double in the top of the sixth on Monday against the Royals, Davis passed Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera for the league-lead in runs batted in. I know, I know, RBI is a somewhat arbitrary stat, but if Davis wants to contend for the Triple Crown, or at least ensure that Cabrera doesn’t win it in back-to-back seasons, he’ll have to be atop the leaderboard in that category.

For the record, Crush is now on pace for 157 runs batted in and 60 home runs. He’s been held homer-less since the All-Star break, but has three doubles in his last four games.

But Josh Hamilton is doing so awesome. Angelos should have ponied up and paid him what he wanted because that’s what we needed in the middle of the lineup.

CD needs to take advantage of Miggy’s lack of playing time due to his injury and pad the RBI total.
