Dylan Bundy Ranks Number Two In Top 100 Prospects List

Baseball America released their annual Top 100 Prospects List this morning and two Orioles made the cut.

Not surprisingly, Dylan Bundy was listed as the number two prospect behind Rangers infielder Jurickson Profar, while Kevin Gausman finished 26th. Last season, Bundy ranked 10th and was joined by Manny Machado (11th) and Jonathan Schoop (82nd). Schoop has slid off the list entirely in 2013.

Bundy pitched 1 2/3 innings over two appearance with the Orioles last season. The 20 year old played 8 games in Delmarva, 12 in Frederick and 3 in Bowie before getting the call to Baltimore.

Gausman threw just 15 innings down on the farm for the Birds in 2012, 6 in Aberdeen and 9 in Frederick.

Schoop’s numbers slipped a bit at Double-A Bowie in 2012. After hitting .290/.349/.432 with 13 home runs and 71 RBI between Delmarva and Frederick in 2011, Schoop hit just .245/.324/.386 with 14 home runs and 56 RBI in his first full season with the Baysox.
