Quarterbacks:
Good Starts:
Colt McCoy (CLE)- has been good at home, good matchup vs SEA
Matthew Stafford (DET)- tough matchup but he always finds a way to perform
Cam Newton (CAR)- between passing yds and rushing yds he does enough
Tony Romo- 339/3 last game vs STL, will want redemption from last week
Aaron Rodgers (GB)- ridiculous, 301/4 last game vs MIN
Drew Brees (NO)- will destroy IND

Decent Starts:
Matt Ryan (ATL)- could be shoot out with DET, hasn’t hit 200 yds in 2 weeks though
Matt Hasselbeck (TEN)- avg 201/1/1 vs HOU, good at home this yr
Matt Schaub (HOU)- he’s hit or miss vs TEN, being on the road makes him decent start
Tim Tebow (DEN)- good matchup for him to go crazy, still risky to start
Phillip Rivers (SD)- tough matchup vs NYJ on the road, hasn’t been super lately
Mark Sanchez (NYJ)- who knows what he will do, no way of predicting him
Jay Cutler (CHI) 227/1 last game vs TB, TB tough at home
Josh Freeman (TB)- looked better 2 of the last 3 weeks
John Beck (WAS)- CAR isn’t good at all vs passing, very risky 1st week start
Carson Palmer (OAK)- he’s okay to start because he’s facing KC, will be rusty
Matt Cassel (KC)- has been better lately, pretty good career #s vs OAK
Ben Roethlisberger (PIT)- playing easy team but he’s only had 1 great week all yr
Sam Bradford (STL)- starting to look like his old self, has more targets than ever
Curtis Painter (IND)- has been mediocre, he will have to throw all day
Joe Flacco (BAL)- good matchup but he just doesn’t do enough to be great

Bad Starts:
Tarvaris Jackson (SEA)- always a bad start, way too risky, not enough talent
Matt Moore (MIA)- still rusty, won’t do anything great even against DEN
Rex Grossman (WAS)- benched
Kevin Kolb (ARI)- hasn’t been great, bad matchup vs PIT, no TD’s last 2 games
Christian Ponder (MIN)- rookie QB vs. GB defense is a disaster
Donovan McNabb (MIN)- benched
Blaine Gabbert (JAC)- rookie QB vs. BAL defense is a disaster

 

 

Wide Receivers:
Good Starts:
Greg Little (CLE)- 6 receptions each game the last 2 weeks, playing weak SEA
Calvin Johnson (DET)- best player in the world, 107 yds last game vs ATL, due to score
Nate Washington (TEN)- has been consistent all yr, good opportunity to score vs HOU
Brandon Marshall (MIA)- looked good last week, pretty good matchup vs DEN
Steve Smith (CAR)- continues to perform, keep playing him
Dwayne Bowe (KC)- 4 TD’s in last 3 games, plays well vs OAK
Mike Wallace (PIT)- great matchup, great player
Larry Fitzgerald (ARI)- always performs in some way, 120 yds last game vs PIT
Dez Bryant (DAL)- could have a monster day, due to score, good matchup
Miles Austin (DAL)- he’s done well every game he’s played this yr, good matchup
Greg Jennings (GB)- 152/3 last game vs. MIN, play him
Jordy Nelson (GB)- scores a lot, good yds almost every week, trust in him
Marques Colston (NO)- great matchup vs terrible IND def
Reggie Wayne (IND)- 115/2 last game vs NO, his turn to have a big day
Anquan Boldin (BAL)- avg 92 yd/g vs JAC, plus he’s on primetime

Decent Starts:
Mohamed Massaquoi (CLE)- only has value if he scores, but he has a chance this week
Sidney Rice (SEA)- unpredictable, erratic offense, upside to produce each week though
Nate Burleson (DET)- 4 TD’s in 2 career games vs ATL, has been bad lately though
Roddy White (ATL)- only avg 26 yd/g vs DET, has only hit 100 yds one time this yr
Harry Douglas (ATL)- if Jones is out I think he will score this week
Kevin Walter (HOU)- 79/1 last game vs TEN, will be the go to guy
Jacoby Jones (HOU)- broke out last week but I think TEN will look to contain him
Eric Decker (DEN)- the #1 WR by default unless Tebow has another favorite target
Vincent Jackson (SD)- Revis will hurt his value, but he can make things happen
Malcolm Floyd (SD)- may get the most targets, huge game last game
Santonio Holmes (NYJ)- doubt he scores 3 straight weeks, only avgs 43 yd/g vs SD
Plaxico Burress (NYJ)- 3 TD’s in 2 games vs SD, was shut down last week though
Mike Williams (TB)- been mediocre and inconsistent all year
Arrelious Benn (TB)- he’s been decent the last 3 games
Santana Moss (WAS)- hasn’t been good in a few weeks but Beck hit him late last week
Jabar Gaffney (WAS)- puts up the same consistent #s every single week
Darrius Heyward-Bey (OAK)- has been real good but who knows who Palmer will like
Steve Breaston (KC)- should put up mediocre yds with a chance to score
Hines Ward (PIT)- 64/2 last game vs ARI, has been active lately
Brandon Lloyd (STL)- 2 TD’s in 3 career games vs DAL, need to see chemistry with QB
Danario Alexander (STL)- unknown if Lloyd’s presence will help or hurt, been heating up
James Jones (GB)- 51/1 last game vs MIN, has been active and good lately
Percy Harvin (MIN)- had chemistry with Ponder at the end last week, could finally score
Lance Moore (NO)- always gets his yards, overdue to score
Robert Meachem (NO)- good matchup vs IND, the ball is spread too much though
Pierre Garcon (IND)- will at least get decent yardage, Painter’s favorite target
Torrey Smith (BAL)- he’s their #2 WR now and should perform each week

Bad Starts:
Titus Young (DET)- has fallen off the map the last 2 games
Julio Jones (ATL)- still injured, probably won’t play again
Damian Williams (TEN)- I need to see another 6 reception game first
Andre Johnson (HOU)- he’s out again this week
Brian Hartline (MIA)- wasn’t targeted much by Moore, hasn’t looked good in weeks
Davone Bess (MIA)- wasn’t targeted much by Moore, hasn’t looked good in weeks
Roy Williams (CHI)- don’t trust him yet
Devin Hester (CHI)- still banged up, questionable
Dane Sanzenbacher (CHI)- bears have too many mediocre targets to trust one
Johnny Knox (CHI)- see Sanzenbacher, Knox is too unpredictable
Preston Parker (TB)- he’s hit or miss, when he’s a miss he’s worthless
Brandon LaFell (CAR)- falling off the face of the earth
Jacoby Ford (OAK)- hasn’t done enough, you can’t trust a new QB situation
Dexter McCluster (KC)- even as a WR he’s not producing
Antonio Brown (PIT)- Ward has taken his spotlight
Early Doucet (ARI)- not vs PIT
Andre Roberts (ARI)- not vs PIT
Brandon Gibson (STL)- the odd man out with Lloyd on the team
Donald Driver (GB)- I know he’s scored 2 of the last 3 weeks, but he could kill you easily
Michael Jenkins (MIN)- not against GB
Devery Henderson (NO)- he won’t produce much more this year, always fades out
Austin Collie (IND)- he needs Manning
Mike Thomas (JAC)- won’t do much against BAL
Jason Hill (JAC)- came back down to earth last week

 

 

Running Backs:
Good Starts:
Montario Hardesty (CLE)- Hillis probably out, good matchup, gets combined yards
Marshawn Lynch (SEA)- will run a lot, good matchup vs CLE, gets combined yards
Michael Turner (ATL)- another huge week coming, 220/2 last game vs DET, will run a lot
Chris Johnson (TEN)- 130/1 last game vs HOU, started to heat up last game
Arian Foster (HOU)- always has big combined yds vs TEN, no career TD’s against them
Daniel Thomas (MIA)- a little banged up but should play, Bush may not play so all him
Ryan Mathews (SD)- huge combined yards every week this season
Matt Forte (CHI)- he is their whole team, has been on a role, keep starting him
Darren McFadden (OAK)- great matchup vs KC, will run a ton, combined yds
Rashard Mendenhall (PIT)- I told you to be patient…he’s back, another big week coming
Steven Jackson (STL)- last game vs DAL 160/3, went over 100 combined yds last week
Adrian Peterson (MIN)- tough matchup vs GB but he averages 120 combined yds/g
Ray Rice (BAL)- should destroy their terrible defense on prime time, huge game coming

Decent Starts:
Maurice Morris (DET)- he’s the starter this week, tough matchup vs ATL
Willis McGahee (DEN)- has been real good, worried about Moreno gettin back n the mix
Shonn Greene (NYJ)- hasn’t been great, but I can see him getting decent yds
LaDainian Tomlinson (NYJ)- playing his old team, should start to get more carries
Earnest Graham (TB)- ran well last week, gets combined yards, will start again
Jonathan Stewart (CAR)- combined yds have been mediocre, time share with Williams
DeAngelo Williams (CAR)- is only running nowadays, not getting receptions
Tim Hightower (WAS)- he’s back this week but his role is unknown with Torain
Ryan Torain (WAS)- his role is unknown with Hightower, whoever runs will run well
Beanie Wells (ARI)- I don’t see him getting yds but he’s scored every week this yr
DeMarco Murray (DAL)- starting this week, facing weak defense
James Starks (GB)- Grant is an annoying little pest holding him back stealing carries
Darren Sproles (NO)- gets enough receiving yds to always be a decent start
Mark Ingram (NO)- has been scoring lately, not getting many yds though, risky
Delone Carter (IND)- he will start again but the team will be down too far to run
Maurice Jones-Drew- tough matchup, only had 88 yds vs BAL last time

Bad Starts:
Peyton Hillis (CLE)- game time decision, plus he hasn’t been good all year
Jahvid Best (DET)- concussion, doesn’t look good for him to play
Knowshon Moreno (DEN)- I wouldn’t touch him until we find out what’s going on
Mike Tolbert (SD)- won’t have a large enough role this week
Reggie Bush (MIA)- doesn’t look good for him to play
LaGarrette Blount (TB)- probably won’t play again this week
Jackie Battle (KC)- I’m sorry I just don’t see him running well again, I’m calling fluke
Thomas Jones (KC)- plays well vs OAK but now he’s old and Battle will get most carries
Tashard Choice (DAL)- he’s been a hot pickup but Murray will get most of the carries
Felix Jones (DAL)- He’s out this week
Ryan Grant (GB)- not getting enough carries to be a factor, needs to get less carries
Pierre Thomas (NO)- doesn’t have a big enough role to produce
Joseph Addai (IND)- unlikely he plays, he’s always hurt, this is why you don’t draft him

 

 

Tight Ends:
Good Starts:
Brandon Pettigrew (DET)- I’d trust him every week now
Tony Gonzalez (ATL)- averages 100/1 per game vs DET
Jared Cook (TEN)- produced the last 2 weeks, decent 42 yds last game vs HOU
Owen Daniels (HOU)- best receiver on his team, will be needed
Fred Davis (WAS)- he’s good to start every week now, especially with Cooley out
Jason Witten (DAL)- 3 TD’s in 2 career games vs STL, produces every week
Jermichael Finley (GB)- will score after being shut down, 128 yds last game vs MIN
Jimmy Graham (NO)- having pro bowl season, keep him in

Decent Starts:
Benjamin Watson (CLE)- gets mediocre yards at the least each week, good matchup
Daniel Fells (DEN)- he’s earned a decent ranking with his last 3 games
Antonio Gates (SD)- game time decision, IF he does play he’ll be motivated
Dustin Keller (NYJ)- 41/1 last game vs SD, has been okay lately
Kellen Winslow (TB)- been consistently getting mediocre yds with no TD’s
Greg Olsen (CAR)- puts up decent #s every single week, fights with Shockey for receps
Jeremy Shockey (CAR)- should be in the 40-50 yd range
Heath Miller (PIT)- he’s been more active lately, should get decent yds
Dallas Clark (IND)- reemerged somewhat, should get decent yds
Ed Dickson (BAL)- good matchup but inconsistent

Bad Starts:
Zach Miller (SEA)- not producing this year
Randy McMichael (SD)- even if Gates doesn’t play he’s still not good
Anthony Fasano (MIA)- not very good
Kellen Davis (CHI)- if you want 20 some yds then he’s your guy
Chris Cooley (WAS)- he’s out, and Davis is the #1 guy now
Kevin Boss (OAK)- don’t trust him until I see who Palmer likes
Leonard Pope (KC)- might be the worst offensive starting TE in the league
Todd Heap (ARI)- bad vs PIT over his career and many many games against them
Billy Bajema (STL)- correction, he may be the worst starting TE in the league
Visanthe Shiancoe (MIN)- no way
Mercedes Lewis (JAC)- irrelevant, proved to be a fluke from last yr

 

 

Defenses:
Good Starts:
Washington- Newton turns the ball over a lot every game, underrated defense
Pittsburgh- should hold ARI down, maybe get a defensive TD
Green Bay- Peterson scares me but the rookie QB doesn’t
New Orleans- IND offense is bad, Painter turns the ball over
Baltimore- great matchup vs rookie QB, best defense to own this week

Decent Starts:
Cleveland- not a very talented defense but they play a weak offense
Miami- not a great matchup but maybe Tebow will make some mistakes
Denver- facing a QB that should turn the ball over
New York Jets- very talented defense, tougher matchup
Chicago- not the best matchup but Freeman makes mistakes
Tampa Bay- decent matchup vs CHI, not the best defense though
Carolina- facing a 1st week QB
Oakland- not a talented defense but they are playing a weak KC team
Dallas- decent matchup, facing losing team but their offense is improving

Bad Starts:
Seattle- their defense is just too bad against anyone
Detroit- will be in a high scoring matchup vs ATL
Atlanta- will be in a high scoring matchup vs DET
Tennessee- I don’t like anyone playing HOU
Houston- I can see TEN putting up high points
San Diego- not a good option vs NYJ
Kansas City- terrible defense, will get lit up by every team
Arizona- PIT will tear them apart
St. Louis- awful defense
Minnesota- vs. GB…enough said
Indianapolis- NO may put up more points than any team
Jacksonville- Ravens will dominate them
