Sadly we’re down to just a month left of 2008 Baseball in Baltimore. Its really a bummer isn’t it? What looked like it at one point it could’ve been the next “Why Not” still has a realistic shot to finish strong and here’s how.

  • August 29 – August 31 @ Tampa Bay Rays — 1 out of 3
  • September 1 – September 3 @ Boston Red Sox — 1 out of 3
  • September 5 – September 6 vs Oakland A’s — 2 out of 3
  • September 8 – September 11 vs Cleveland Indians — 2 out of 4
  • September 12 – September 14 vs Minnesota Twins — 1 out of 3
  • September 16 – September 18 @ Toronto Blue Jays — 2 out of 3
  • September 19 – September 21 @ New York Yankees — 1 out of 3
  • September 22 – September 24 vs Tampa Bay Rays — 1 out 3 (and win the make up game)
  • September 26 – September 28 vs Toronto Blue Jays — 2 out of 3

With this plan the O’s would finish 77-85, which is 11 games over Las Vegas’ estimated season for the Orioles.

As a side note, it sure would be nice for Mike Mussina to finish shy of a 20 win season and make sure the Yanks stay out of the Wild Card. That series late in September may prove to be pretty valuable after all.
