Orioles fans that have been eagerly awaiting Manny Machado‘s 2014 debut will have to wait a little longer. The O’s officially activated Machado on Thursday, optioning Steve Lombardozzi to Triple-A Norfolk. However, Machado isn’t in Buck Showalter‘s lineup for game one against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Instead, Ryan Flaherty will be starting at the hot corner. Flash is slashing (I made a rhyme) .188/.268/.234 in 20 games this season. At third base he’s hitting .152/.222/.182 in 10 games.
In addition to the Machado-less lineup, the O’s have Nelson Cruz in left field and Nick Markakis back in right with the newly (re-)signed Steve Pearce manning first base. Jemile Weeks is leading off and playing second base.
Still want to know the O’s record since Manny’s call up in games he’s played in.
