The Washington Capitals received a mixed bag of news regarding the injuries of their stars Alex Ovechkin, Jason Arnott and Mike Green. After Monday’s practice, Ovechkin told reporters that he was “ready to go,” Green said there was “no way to tell” when he would be able to return and Jason Arnott could rejoin the Caps this week.
Ovechkin participated in his first full practice since resting a “nagging injury” last Monday. He told reporters including Katie Carrera of the Washington Post that he felt good, but that the decision to play on Tuesday was not up to him.
Last week, we were hopeful that Mike Green would return to the Capitals this week and while the Caps defenseman acknowledged that he was feeling better he admitted that he was “experiencing symptoms” regarding his pair of concussions.
Arnott also took part in his first full practice since his lower body injury, he said he felt “a little rough, but not too bad.” More news on his return will likely develop after Tuesday’s practice.
