There’s nothing like a new car, especially after you sign a $1.95 million contract out of high school.
Orioles 2013 first round draft pick Hunter Harvey tweeted a picture of his new truck, which appears to be a Chevy Silverado with mammoth tires. It wouldn’t have been my first choice, but I’m not really a truck guy.
Silverado‘s start at $23,590 according to Chevrolet.com. Harvey’s looks a little tricked out, so I’d assume it was a little more. For that price, I’d like a Volkswagen GTI ($24,200) or just splurge and buy an Audi A4 ($33,800).
But hey, to each his own. Congrats to Harvey on the deal and the new ride.
The 18 year old threw 12 innings over three starts allowing 11 hits and three runs (2.25 ERA) on Low-A Aberdeen. He started in five games in the Gulf Coast League, pitching to a 1.35 ERA, prior to pitching for the IronBirds.

Please, please, just one of these pitchers needs to work out!
He can drive it all over my playoff hopes
