Orioles relief pitcher Alfredo Simon is a suspect in a murder case in the Dominican Republic according to the Baltimore Sun.

The pitcher shot and killed 25-year-old Miche Castillo Almonte and wounded his 17-year-old Castillo Almonte and wounded his 17-year-old brother during a New Year’s Eve celebration in the northeast coastal town of Luperon, police said in a statement. No motive was disclosed. Simon is from the Dominican Republic, and police said he fled after the violence.

Spare me, my new leaf is if you do the crime, you do the time, no matter your profession. My ONLY question is how can you die from a gun shot wound to your arm? Doesn't the DR have doctors?
