The Orioles signed utility infielder Jolbert Cabrera and catcher Robby Hammock to minor league deals. The players will be given invitations to spring training.

Cabrera, a shortstop from the Cincinnati, hit .252 with 3 homeruns and 12 RBIs in 48 games.

Hammock is a 31 year old catcher who hit .190 in only 18 games last year.

Not exactly moves that get fans real excited about the future. Two guys over 30, with little experience. As far as a catcher goes I sure hope the Orioles still go after Gregg Zaun, if this is the answer to that hole its not going to cut it.
