Remember when the Ravens got no respect from the national media? I guess they’ve played the role of scrappy underdog long enough.

Over on MMQB, Peter King has predicted that our hometown Baltimore Ravens will win the AFC and meet the Green Bay Packers in San Francisco for Super Bowl 50.

I’m picking a Green Bay-Baltimore Super Bowl. Two teams that blew golden chances to meet in the Super Bowl last year, finally keeping the appointment a year later. (NFC title game last January, five minutes left: Green Bay 19, Seattle 7. AFC divisional game last January, 23 minutes left: Baltimore 28, New England 14.)

King cites two main obstacles for the Ravens this season:

1. The Bengals – Who surprisingly have the same amount of regular season wins as the Ravens over the past four seasons and have bested Baltimore in the regular season standings the last two years.

2. Home-field advantage in the playoffs – Something that John Harbaugh and Joe Flacco have yet to accomplish.
