Brandon Stokley - Ravens wide receiverBrandon Stokley‘s reunion in Baltimore was short-lived. The 37-year-old veteran wide receiver appeared in the Ravens first three games and the team announced on Saturday that they have parted ways with Stokley.

The Ravens cut vested veteran wide receiver Brandon Stokley Saturday afternoon on the eve of their Week 5 game in Miami.

Baltimore re-signed tight end Billy Bajema to the 53-man roster after releasing him earlier in the week to make room for tackle Eugene Monroe.

The move to release Stokley is due to the Ravens’ wideout corps getting healthy and crowded.

Ryan Mink of BaltimoreRavens.com points of that Deonte Thompson stepped up with four receptions for 50 yards in Buffalo while the team has also liked what they’ve seen from Marlon Brown. Of course, Jacoby Jones is also nearing a return from a knee/Sweet Pea injury.

With Bajema, Joe Flacco has a third target at tight end while the team waits on a possible early return from Dennis Pitta.
