On the heels of their controversial new autograph policy, if you could call it that — essentially it’s a non-autograph policy — the Ravens have announced that they will host a free practice to their fans at M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday August 7th.

The Sun points out that this is the first time the Ravens have offered a practice at their stadium since a scrimmage against the Washington Redskins in 2007 which drew 25,000+.

The offer undoubtedly is in response to the mixed emotions fans have expressed about the Ravens non-autograph policy at this year’s training camp. It’s a step in the right direction, but I think the Ravens are two or three more cool new additions to the summer before I forget that they want me to pay 100 bucks to get up close and personal to their players.
