Analysis: Running back Jalen Parmele is returning for his third professional season, second full season with Baltimore. In 2009, he finished the season with seven special teams tackles and served as the Ravens kick off returner on several occasions.
Parmele posted an averaged of 31.4 yards per kick return last season and had five carries for 17 yards on offense. His game highlights from last season included a 45 yard kick of return he had in game 14 versus the Bears and his first career postseason game at New England where he recorded two kickoff returns for 31 yards.
2010 Analysis : The future is bright for Parmele and the Ravens, despite great depth at running back. Surely, Baltimore will likely continue to use three-headed monster in Ray Rice, Willis McGahee and LeRon McClain, but Parmele has proved he’s able to fill in if needed. Parmele has also worked hard this off season to secure his spot on special teams as the kick returner. Though that position still is not locked down, he continues to make a run for the job and will be a valuable asset to the Ravens on special teams.
