Baltimore native and Towson University star Terrance West was this close to being draft by the Baltimore Ravens.
Via Cleveland.com’s Tom Reed:
The Baltimore Ravens held the No. 99 pick and representatives from the club were in contact with the agent of the prolific small-college halfback, according to West.
“They texted my agent and told him they were going to take me,” he said Saturday at rookie minicamp. “The Browns came up before them and I’m here now. It’s all about the Browns, man.”
Instead, Baltimore drafted Coastal Carolina’s Lorenzo Taliaferro with their 138th pick.
They didn’t need a class guy at RB with skills. The have a no-class woman beater with declining skills.
When did Suggs move to RB????
