Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs earned week one’s AFC Defensive Player of the Week honor for his three sack performance in his team’s 35-7 pounding of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Suggs, who always plays the Steelers well, also forced two fumbles and put Pittsburgh back 25 yards with his three sacks.  During the game, Sizzle became the Ravens all-time leader in sacks with 71 1/2.

“He gets blocked every different kind of way a guy can get blocked, from one game to the next, when you watch it,” Ravens head coach John Harbaugh told Mike Duffy of BaltimoreRavens.com.  “He still finds a way to make plays.”

Suggs has won the award just on other time in his career, week 7 of 2008.
