Rich Hill might have pitched himself out of a job last night in New York, probably with a curve ball. Hill went just three innings surrendering four walks and five earned runs in the Orioles 6-4 loss.

Brian Roberts and Nick Markakis appear to be heating up at the same time for Baltimore. B-Rob went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored and his 20th stolen base while Kakes had three hits of his own and an RBI.

The O’s ended up walking eight batters in the game, four from Hill, three from Brian Bass, and one from Matt Albers.

Baltimore came within striking distance in the sixth inning when Melvin Mora hit a two run RBI single that drove in Markakis and Huff to make the score 6-4. However, the Birds couldn’t finish the come back and fell for the second straight time to the evil empire.
