Cory Redding becomes the first Ravens player to follow former defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano to Indianapolis.
ESPN’s Josina Anderson reports that Redding has signed a three-year contract with the Colts. Redding recorded 4.5 sacks and 43 tackles at defensive end for Baltimore last season.
As Evan Silva of ProFootballTalk.com points out, he’s primarily a run stopper in the 3-4 defense at age 31.
Redding visited the Colts on Tuesday and the deal was reported Wednesday afternoon.
Nothing against Redding, but he’s a very replaceable piece on Baltimore’s defense. Right now the Ravens will be relying on Pernell McPhee and Arthur Jones to step up. I’m not worried.
