Up 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth inning, Chris Davis hit a ground ball to second base and Adam Jones came barreling home to score what would have been the Baltimore Orioles fourth run of the inning. Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia charged the ball, threw it home to Jarrod Saltalamacchia and Jones lowered his shoulder and trucked Boston’s catcher.
I can tell u one thing though, Salty is a heavy human.

Salty held on and Jones was called out, but AJ’s old school baseball tactic sent a clear message to every one watching. This Orioles team is serious and their going to grind out every run.
The O’s went on to score two more runs in the sixth. Their manager and $154 million first baseman were ejected two innings later and the Red Sox lost another series to the Orioles.

“This is hardball. This is the big leagues. This is a pennant race,” Hall of Famer Jim Palmer said during the broadcast.
That video doesn’t do any justice to watching it live. it looked much more powerful in person. Jones hit him so hard, i was sure the ball was coming out.
Saltalamaccia thought he was in Fenway after that hit.
