
Can the Orioles re-sign Chris Davis? Can they add a top of the rotation starter? Can they do both?
According to GM Dan Duquette, a guest on MLB Network Radio on Sunday morning, the O’s expect to open up Peter Angelos’ check book this winter.

We would like to sign a top of the rotation starter and by that I mean a one, two or three starter. There’s some in that group. I don’t think there’s many number one starters, but there’s a couple of twos and threes that we could be very competitive on.

Adam Jones signed the largest deal in Orioles franchise history (six years, $85 million) back in 2012. To re-sign Davis and add a top-tier starter, the O’s will have to be willing to break that record twice.
Payroll must be going to $140MM then
